Windy Hill is proud to have a dedicated, energetic group of volunteers who give their time and generous spirit to the residents of Windy Hill. Volunteers efforts are as diverse as providing assistance with our annual Gala, which brings in nearly half of our yearly budget, to helping elementary school students with their math homework or cooking meals for seniors. Windy Hill counts on others to help us fulfill our mission and we hope to count on you!

Tutoring
If you can devote an hour and a half of your time once or twice a week during the school year, you will be able to make a difference in a young child’s life. Our Study Buddies help with reading skills, math, science, and anything else our children learn in elementary school. Keep in mind, though, that Study Buddies often lose their hearts to their new friends.
Our Study Buddy Program currently runs Mondays and Thursdays, from 3:00 – 4:00pm at Banneker Elementary. This program provides one-on-one homework help as well as reading and math reinforcement activities.

Friday’s Feast
Friday’s Feast provides meals every other Friday for families who reside at Windy Hill and Levis Hill House. Volunteers are asked to prepare dinner for six families at a time. Each family consists of one to three persons, and our “chefs” are invited to supply meals twice a year.
