Our Impact
Beyond providing stable housing to over 850 residents throughout Loudoun and Fauquier Counties, we help residents meet their individual goals through scholarship programs and emergency financial aid resources.
Windy Hill Foundation transforms communities by providing safe and affordable housing for community members who help our neighborhoods thrive – from teachers and healthcare workers to service staff who would otherwise face hours-long commutes. By providing homes where individuals, families, and seniors live with dignity, as well as vital support services, such as mentoring programs, wellness initiatives that promote healthy living, and dedicated assistance that allows elderly residents to age in place safely and comfortably, Windy Hill isn’t just building houses – it’s building foundations for better futures.
“Nest to Wings” Scholarship Fund
Working with local partners, such as the Grace Montessori School, Middleburg Montessori, Mountainside Montessori, and Piedmont Child Care Center, Windy Hill’s Nest to Wings Scholarship Fund assists local residents with the cost of early childhood education.
“Horizon” Scholarship Fund
Established in 2017, the Horizon Scholarship Fund provides financial support for residents looking to earn a college degree or simply continue their education, helping them to achieve academic goals that can open the door to enhanced career opportunities and financial independence.
Emergency Financial Assistance Fund
The Emergency Financial Assistance Fund is a resource for residents facing unforeseen hardship or unexpected bills – from medical expenses to car repairs, as well as assistance with rent and utilities, Windy Hill’s emergency fund ensures residents have necessary support and peace of mind in hours of need.
