As April unfolded, Windy Hill’s Resident Services team continued its commitment to creating engaging and supportive experiences that enhance residents’ safety, confidence, and overall well-being. This month’s programming highlighted meaningful community engagement and proactive safety preparedness, ensuring residents feel connected, informed, and secure in their daily lives.
Through a valued annual tradition, residents embarked on their third consecutive bus trip to the Upperville Daffodil Show 2026, presented by the Upperville Garden Club in conjunction with the American Daffodil Society, and hosted at Trinity Episcopal Church. This year’s show, “Celebrating 250 Years of Our Great Country,” honored the nation’s history, achievements, and the importance of direction for future generations.

Residents enjoyed a vibrant and engaging day, browsing the beautiful daffodil displays, sharing conversation, and partaking in light refreshments thoughtfully prepared for the outing. Long standing Levis Hill House resident Witchell Ward said, “It was a lot of fun, and I am glad that I came!” The trip provided not only a chance to experience a cherished local event, but also an opportunity for residents to connect with one another in a relaxed and joyful setting. The day was made possible in part with the support of a dedicated volunteer who generously provided transportation, ensuring residents could safely attend and fully enjoy the experience.
In addition to community outings, April also emphasized the importance of resident safety and preparedness. A Fire Drill was conducted at Levis Hill, offering residents hands-on experience and guidance on how to respond in the event of an emergency. This initiative equipped residents with essential knowledge and reinforced critical safety procedures, helping to reduce uncertainty and build confidence in high-stress situations.
Designed with residents’ well-being in mind, the drill provided clear, practical steps to follow during an emergency, ensuring participants feel more prepared and aware of available safety measures. Staff support throughout the exercise helped create a calm and informative environment, allowing residents to engage with the process in a constructive and reassuring way.
Together, April’s initiatives reflect Windy Hill’s continued dedication to fostering connection, enrichment, and safety. Through memorable outings and proactive preparedness efforts, Resident Services remains committed to creating an environment where residents feel supported, engaged, and empowered every day.
